So my Gallery is up!!
여태까지 두 달 동안 너무 바빠서 어이없을 정도인데, 그동안 내가 해낸 일들을 보면 더 웃김:
- 아내의 학원을 정리하고 우리 거실로 옮겼다. 이제 거실에 도서관이 생겼다. 예전에는 거의 사용하지 않았는데, 솔직히 말해서 훌륭한 수납공간이 됐다.
- 저녁 시간을 꽉 채울 만큼 학생들을 받았다.
- 올해 목표인 20개의 작품 중 1개를 완성했다. (세상에…)
- 두 번째 작품을 시작했다.
- 오랫동안 묵혀둔 세 번째 프로젝트도 지금 진행 중이다.
- 교실을 싹 다 뜯어내고, 긁어내고, 프라이머 칠하고, 페인트칠하고, 리모델링까지 마쳤다. 너무 마음에 든다.
- 곧 아기 방이 될 공간도 같은 작업을 하고 있다.
- 내 방 바닥을 뜯어내고 콘크리트를 밀봉한 다음, 내가 싫어하지 않을 마감 처리를 하려고 작업 중이다.
- 아내랑 같이 먹다 보니 살이 엄청 쪘다.
- 갤러리 페이지를 준비했고, 오늘 추가하려고 한다.
- 컴퓨터 의자 업그레이드를 시작했다. 좀 멍청해 보일 수도 있지만, 요즘엔 모든 걸 “예술”로 여기다 보니 자꾸 새로운 프로젝트를 벌이게 된다. 문제는 이런 걸로 돈을 못 번다는 거지.
지금 엄청난 업데이트를 할 시간은 없고, 이 글을 쓰는 것도 사실 시간이 없어서 간단히 남기는 거다. 타이핑하고 번역하고 각 화면에 맞게 포맷팅하는 것도 엄청 귀찮다. 지금 ARG 퍼즐을 디자인하면서 머릿속으로 여러 가지 아이디어를 굴리고 있긴 한데, 아직 실질적인 구현은 시작하지 않았다.
이제 다시 프로젝트로 돌아가야겠다. 이 사이트를 만든 지 벌써 1년이 다 되어간다는 게 믿기지 않는다. 그동안 내가 만든 작품이 예상했던 것보다 훨씬 많다. 나 자신이 꽤 자랑스럽고, 이 열정을 계속 이어갈 수 있으면 좋겠다. 곧 아이가 태어날 텐데, 그게 엄청난 시간을 잡아먹을 거라는 건 알지만, 멀티태스킹을 극대화해서 잘 해내길 바란다. 그냥 희망사항이지만!
It’s stupid how busy I have been for the past 2 months and what I’ve managed to accomplish:
– We closed my wife’s school and moved it into our living room. I have a library in my living room now. It went largely unused before, but I must say it’s a wonderful storage area.
– I’ve picked up enough students to occupy most of my evening.
– I have finished 1 piece of art towards the 20 I want to do this year (Oh god…)
– I have started a second
– A third project that I’ve been sitting on is in the process of being finished as I type this.
– I have stripped, scraped, primed, painted and refurbished my classroom. It’s beautiful. I love it.
– I am doing the same to, what will be, the baby’s room.
– I’ve started ripping up the floor in my bedroom to seal the concrete and apply some sort of treatment that I don’t abhor.
– I’ve gained so much weight from eating with the wife.
– I have prepared the gallery and I’m going to try and add it today.
– I’ve started doing upgrades on my computer chair. I know that sounds stupid, but since I’ve started treating everything as “art” it’s been hard not to take on other projects. It’s too bad I don’t get paid for this.
I don’t have time for a huge update, except to type this because I don’t have the time to spare and typing/translating/formatting them for different screens is a pain. I’ve been tossing ideas around in my head for the “arg” puzzle I’m designing, but I haven’t started implementing anything as of yet.
And with that I need to return to my projects. It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a year since I made this site because I’ve produced more art since then, than I thought believable. I’m really proud of myself and I hope I can keep this gusto going forth. I know I got a kiddo on the way and that’s going to be time consuming so hopefully I can min-max for multitasking. Here’s to wishful thinking.
