Hi, I’m Alex—an artist, craftsman, teacher, and handyman who’s been living on Jeju Island since 2010. I used to run a traditional online art gallery, but after a while, I found it uninspiring. I realized that I can utilize my creativity in a multitude of ways and apply it to pretty much every aspect of my life.
So, in late 2023 (or maybe early 2024), I decided to try something different: I turned my website into an evolving art project. A bizarrely named “brand” that can become anything I want, whenever I want—an ever-changing space for creativity.
The one constant? The blog. It’s where I keep track of the things I create (and often forget I’ve created). It’s a personal record of progress—both in skill and imagination.
Even though I’m not deeply involved in community life, I’m fascinated by the artistic idea of building community—and how it can be used to make the world more beautiful, more meaningful, and more productive. So on top of my artistic efforts I hope to assist in establishing a return to local interaction and support.
